Hi Debra, we offer a discount dental plan to help make dental care affordable for people. My advice to you would be to go to the dentist and find out what would need to be done and how much it would cost, and then check out our dental plan at www.1dental.com to see if it would be helpful to you. Best of luck!

Hello, I have an Awful Condition with my Gums. I have been to my Dentist and to a second Dentist for another opinion. It feels like my skin on my Lower Gums is just hanging and is Very Thick all around my Fixed Bridges. I have a Fixed Bridge on my Lower left Side and my Lower Right Side on the Bottom. I have also been to my Primary Care M.D. about this Condition who referred me to an ENT M.D. I have Discoid Lupus, I have had Surgery on my Left Carotid Artery and I had an Aneurysm on the right side of my Brain in 2003 and had a Crainiotomy and Aneurysm Clipping and had a Surgita Aneurysm Clip placed over the clipping, which will remain there for the rest of my life. The ENT M.D. just gave me a prescription for Magic Mouthwash with 2 refills, it has not helped me at all. He also told me that I should see a Rheumotologist, which I my Primary M.D. referred me to one about a year and a half ago. She told me that I do not have Rheumotoid Arthritis. My Mouth is so bad now, I can not go out to eat because everything that I eat sticks to my teeth. It is so embarrassing so i refuse to eat out or anywhere in public. I am living a miserable life because of this condition on my Lower bottom Gums. My Mouth is extremely Dry, even the Dentist Gloves stick to my mouth. Can you offer any advice to me? I am at my Wits end.
                                               Thank You, Debra Roddy

If you see red spots on your gums then it could be gingivitis. The bacteria causes inflammation of the gums which is called “gingivitis.” In gingivitis, the gums become red, swollen and can bleed easily. Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease that can usually be reversed with daily brushing and flossing, and regular cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist. This form of gum disease does not include any loss of bone and tissue that hold teeth in place.
When gingivitis is not treated, it can advance to “periodontitis”, I hope your periodontist takes care of this. Good luck!
