Privacy Rights, Protection Guarantee, Spyware Philosophy
If you have questions or concerns regarding this statement, you should first contact Customer Support by email.
We promise to protect your privacy as if it were our own. We use the information you provide to us for the following purposes only: to fulfill your purchase and provide information to the Careington processing department, to reply to your questions, and to incorporate your feedback into improvements to our Web site. We will not give, sell, or rent your personal information, including email address, or specific account activity to anyone for any reason without your prior consent except as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site. If you purchase from one of our affiliates they will be provided just basic information so as to communicate a sale was consummated.
We use Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to ensure the privacy of your personal information. When you make an online purchase, our advanced security technology encrypts and scrambles your personal data (including your name, address, e-mail addresses and credit card number) before it is sent to us, making it virtually impossible for anyone other than us to read it. To further protect your information, we utilize state of the art back-end systems and restrict employee access to your information. Unless specifically authorized by you, no outside party is able to access or receive any of your personal customer information.
To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the lower left corner of your browser (or top right next to the address bar for Microsoft Internet Explorer 7). If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser) , the SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the location line or your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from "http" to "https." Some browser versions and some firewalls do not permit communication through a secure server like the ones we use. If for any reason you cannot access the secure server, please feel free to place your order with us by phone at 800-372-7615. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer. We want you to feel completely comfortable. If you have more questions about our security systems, or feel more comfortable ordering by phone, please call 800-372-7615 and we will be happy to help you.

Cookies are a mechanism to remember information about a visitor when

We do not use tracking technologies - nor do we send your browsing habits to third party companies. We are speaking out against spyware and similar products because we believe that most users do not benefit by having them installed. This is consistent with the basic tenets that drive both our business philosophy and the advice that we give to our clients.
Spyware should be removed from everyone's PC
We believe every PC should be allowed to run reliably and optimally. Our
own experiences with spyware applications show that they can reduce
system reliability. Their background activity and resource usage can
impair system performance. The ads they pop up can be extremely
distracting.
Users have the right to control their own PCs.
Software must clearly and openly disclose its actions. Any product or
service that takes control of a PC away from the user without their
explicit knowledge and permission is contrary to the user's best
interest. Users should be able to install spyware if they are aware the
product is installing and are clearly informed of its license terms.
Whether someone runs spyware or other browser add-ins is not a decision
that should be dictated by other web sites.
The information collected (friend's name and email address) is used to send a one time only email to the friend letting them know about the Careington plan referred that the user recommends.
If you buy our product online, our secure order form collects contact, billing, and financial information (such as your credit card number for purchase). Contact information from the order form (email address, name, and phone number) is used to mail you our fulfillment packet including new ID card. Your contact information, including email address, is also used to get in touch with you should we have questions regarding your purchase or should we need to notify you of the status of your membership. The credit card information we collect is used to bill you for the plan you purchase ONLY.
No-Spam Policy
We may occasionally send email updates regarding changes to your
membership(s) and/or new products and services. Customers may opt-out
of these updates before purchase or anytime afterward. We do not
send spam (unsolicited email) and we will honor all requests to be
removed from future updates.
"Call Me Now" Feature
Your name, telephone number, and information will not be shared. This
technology is only used to make it easier for you to be contacted. You
will only be called one time, based on your entering your telephone and
clicking on the "Call Me Now" button.
We occasionally run our own online surveys and we ask visitors
for contact information (such as email address) and demographic information
(such as zip code). We use contact data from our surveys to send users
information about our company. You may opt-out of the survey and also
opt-out of any future mailings at the time of the survey. The demographic
information is used to learn more about the types of people who visit
our site. This information is not shared with any other parties.
