A somber hush fell over the office yesterday afternoon. We never thought it could happen, but catastrophe struck the 1Dental office. We were officially out of coffee.

No more coffee

Where has all the coffee gone?

What do we do with no coffee?

Someone dug up a handful of coffee beans in a bag marked “best by Jan. 2010.” You’d better believe that stopped no one. (Apparently it was drinkable… barely. Desperate times call for desperate measures.)

The scene was dismal again this morning. The basket of tea bags has never seen this much action. Heard around the office:

“You should try the Earl Grey, it has more caffeine. I’m on my second cup of tea in an hour.”

“The paper thing fell in!”

“I can’t believe I’m drinking tea…”

Two hours into the work day, someone showed up with 4 small bags of coffee beans. A ceremonial crowd gathered around the coffeemaker. Crisis averted – those 4 bags should last through the day. We’ll replenish our full supply tomorrow, and yesterday and this morning’s shortage will soon be but a hazy memory.

We love coffee

We have coffee!
